What We Do
ASI partners with clients to leverage assets for maximum employee performance.

ASI’s conducts a complete assessment of each candidate’s including education, experience, skills, abilities and reference checks. Pre-Employment credit, and criminal checks and drug screening are conducted by request.

ASI’s core business is recruiting, screening, assessments, placement, training, development, payrolling and consulting.

ASI provides consulting and training in selection process design, competency modeling, client candidate screening / evaluation and behavioral interviewing. ASI also utilizes validated assessments of personality, behavior, motivations, intelligence, and competencies.

ASI's large database of qualified candidates are secured from referrals, paid recruiting resources, advertising, professional networking, career and trade fairs. We continually renew our database with top talent.

ASI's History of Growth
In 1983, Kim Howard formed Alternative Staffing, Inc in Minneapolis, MN. Soon after CJ Pierson, with a strong backgrounds in the temporary help industry, joined ASI. Their initial focus was placing trial-for hire and direct hire positions.

ASI grew quickly by earning a reputation for being client-focused and delivering qualified candidates in a timely manner. ASI’s client portfolio and candidate database represents a multitude of industries, job functions, and job levels.
ASI formed the Payroll Resources division to assist clients in outsourcing and administration of pay, workers compensation insurance, taxes, insurance, and to contain the rising cost of medical insurance.

In 1999, ASI formed Teacher’s On Call to provide substitute, trial for hire, and direct hire teachers, administrators, aides, and staff for Early Childhood Educational programs, Private, Charter, and Public schools.

The ASI Strategic Performance division was recently formed to provide consulting, training, and assessment services to improve selection, development, performance management, and employee retention.

ASI Strategic Performance provides consulting, coaching, training, and assessment to:

  • Align talent with vision, mission, and purpose
  • Secure and leverage human assets
  • Integrate the right leadership, processes, tools, and systems.
